Interested in helping the U-M community prepare for emergency situations

group meeting

Are you interested in helping the University of Michigan community better prepare and respond to an emergency situation? We’d love to hear from you! Please join us for a public meeting to discuss and participate in the University of Michigan hazard mitigation planning process.

Date: Thur., June 28, 2018

Time: 5 – 6 p.m.

Location: Great Lakes Central Meeting Room, Palmer Commons (100 Washtenaw Ave.).

The University of Michigan is engaged in a planning process to reduce risks to disasters. This meeting provides an opportunity for you to share your opinions and participate in the mitigation action development. Mitigation action development helps to identify activities that may lessen the impact of future hazard events and will decrease our community’s vulnerabilities to natural, human-made, and technological disasters.

Not able to make it to the public meeting? Consider sharing your thoughts in our survey.

The U-M Hazard Mitigation Plan is led by DPSS Emergency Management with assistance from federal grant funding.

This meeting is free and open to the public. Please register for the event in advance. We appreciate your participation in this important process!
