UPDATE: According to AAPD, further investigation has revealed a group of University of Michigan students were threatened with a BB or airsoft gun on Sunday, not a firearm.
The Ann Arbor Police Department (AAPD) has informed DPSS of an ongoing investigation into a reported firearm brandishing incident that occurred on November 17, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m. in the 600 block of Oxford Road. According to AAPD, four college-aged males approached a group of University of Michigan students on a porch, attempted to provoke a fight, and one of the suspects displayed a handgun before they fled the area.
