Provide feedback to contribute to safety and security on campus

7/12/13 Campus Aerials

Are you interested in helping the University of Michigan community better prepare and respond to an emergency situation? You can help us by providing feedback on our draft Hazard Mitigation Plan. We are interested in feedback based on your experience on campus related to hazards.

The University of Michigan is engaged in an annual planning process to reduce risks to potential natural, man-made and technological disasters. We have a draft plan in place and would like your input. Offering comments on this draft provides an opportunity for you to share your opinions and participate in the hazard mitigation planning process. The information you provide will help decrease our community’s vulnerabilities to these disasters and allow us to identify ways to lessen the impact of future hazard events.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan aims to:

  • Identify current and projected natural, man-made and technological hazards that may impact our university
  • Reduce the impact of hazards on people and property
  • Increase the university’s overall preparedness and resilience to hazards

Please take a moment to review the draft plan here. Please use this google form to provide your feedback before August 26, 2019.

The U-M Hazard Mitigation Plan is led by DPSS Emergency Management with assistance from federal grant funding. We look forward to hearing your thoughts, as your perspective is important to us!
