High wind warning update

March 8, 2017, 4 pm – The National Weather Service’s high wind warning is scheduled to expire at 7 pm tonight. Some roads in southeast Michigan are closed due to downed power lines. Use caution when driving or moving around outdoors.

Power outages & surges to continue today

March 8, 2017, 12:30pm – A significant power outage has affected many buildings on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor Campus.

The National Weather Service has reported widespread damaging wind gusts are ongoing across Southeast Michigan and will continue through the afternoon.

DTE power outages and surges are expected to continue today. Avoid elevators if possible. Save work on computers frequently.

Classes may be impacted. Students should contact their schools, colleges or faculty members directly about the status of classes Wednesday afternoon.
