This year’s 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (ASFSR) can be found here.
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) publishes the Annual Security and Safety Report to the university community each year.
The report includes updated crime and fire statistics on the Ann Arbor campus and adjoining properties for the previous three years (2021, 2022, and 2023). It also provides important information, such as policies and procedures put in place to improve safety and key resources available on campus.
As one might expect at any large university campus, incidents do arise. However, as you review the ASFSR, you will find that the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus continues to be a safe place for our community to live, learn, work, heal, and visit.
DPSS would like to take this opportunity to affirm our commitment to a safe and secure campus environment for all; it is our top priority. Additional safety and security information, including crime alerts and the daily crime and fire log, can be found online at dpss.umich.edu.
Questions about the report can be sent to DPSS Clery Compliance Manager Erik Mattila, at emattila@umich.edu.
